Mamo TCV Sponsors Means of Transport for Deprived and Vulnerable Children in Tanzania

We are thrilled to announce some incredible news! As part of the Firm’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and thanks to the generosity and contributions of the staff members at Mamo TCV, the firm has sponsored with others the purchase of a minivan to transport deprived and vulnerable children, including orphans and street children, to and from the Brottier Centre school in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Currently, some of these children walk 14 to 16 kilometres each day to attend school, and many are forced to stay home during extreme weather, especially the youngest and most vulnerable. EU Commission Publishes Findings on EU Competition Enforcement Framework

On 5 September 2024, the European Commission published a “Staff Working Document”  summarising the findings of the evaluation of two EU Regulations, Regulation 1/2003 and Regulation 773/2004, which concern the enforcement of EU competition law. These Regulations, which entered into force 20 years ago, lay out the procedural framework for the implementation of EU competition rules laid down in Articles 101 and Article 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU (“TFEU”). The evaluation exercise by the Commission has concluded that, in general, these Regulations have achieved their objective for effective, efficient and uniform application of EU competition law.  It has also noted that…

The Ministry for Home Affairs, Security and Employment (MHSE) published the proposed Maltese draft order for the transposition of the EU Network and Information Systems Directive II (‘NIS 2’) on 6 September 2024. The draft order, titled ‘Measures For A High Common Level Of Cybersecurity Across The European Union (Malta) Order, 2024’ (the ‘Draft Order’) is currently open for public consultation until 7 October, seeking input for the effective implementation of the NIS 2 Directive in Malta, which must be transposed in national law by 17 October 2024.
