Sarah Zerafa Lewis

Sarah is a Senior Associate within the Banking & Finance department at Mamo TCV Advocates and joined Mamo TCV Advocates in February 2024. For five years, Sarah formed part of the Malta Financial Services Authority’s Banking Supervision Unit, where she was involved in the provision of internal and external legal advice in relation to the supervision of credit and financial institutions, transposition and implementation of EU legislation and regulation into Maltese law and participation in different fora at national and European level. Sarah also worked as an in-house lawyer as Legal Manager with a credit institution registered in Malta and licensed accordingly by the MFSA where she undertook company secretarial duties in relation to the Board of Directors, the Audit and Risk Committee and the Strategy Committee. She was also involved in the bank’s compliance matters and advising on regulatory requirements, assisting the bank in contractual agreements with third parties (including outsourcing agreements for critical or important functions) as well as overseeing the Data Protection Officer.
